McEvoy Foundation for the Arts (MFA) presents exhibitions and public programs that engage, expand, and challenge themes within the McEvoy Family Collection.
MFA seeks talented and enthusiastic individuals interested in working behind the scenes supporting events and public programs. Visitor services support positions include ticket processing, greeting and seating guests, selling merchandise and working a bar. Talent and stage support positions in staging, lighting, and A/V tech, as well as audio, video, and photo documentation of events.
The position requires excellent communication skills and reliable and timely participation. Candidates must have strong customer service/interpersonal skills and present themselves in a professional manner. Sensitivity to a range of social, economic, and cultural perspectives, histories, and experiences a must. Experience in a gallery, theater, and/or museum setting is helpful. Beverage service employees must be over 21 years of age. Theater, film/video, or other technical skills important for stage-related work. Occasional light lifting of packages and furniture is required.
Several 4 to 8-hour evening shifts open for events on an on-call, as needed basis.
Hourly rate from $16-$20/hour, commensurate with experience and position. This is a temporary part-time, non-exempt position
